My review is not a positive one! Why? May 23, 2016 I was scheduled for a mammogram at Lanier Hospital, where I have done so annually for the past 20 years. In addition to mammogram my doctor ordered an ultrasound of the breast. Because Lanier did not have the capabilities to do the ultrasound (faulty equipment), my doctor scheduled me for both mammogram and ultrasound at West Georgia Medical Center. This was done on May 25. However, as of June 16, the radiologist in LaGrange has not been able to give an accurate reading because Lanier cannot seem to get a readable disc from last year's mammogram to West Georgia Medical Center. There is no excuse for this. If equipment is faulty, replace it. No one should have to wait 22+ days to have a mammogram read.
I went in there doubled over in pain with my back. They gave me nothing for pain. I had just had back surgery. And couldn't drive the 2 1/2 hrs to see my doc. TheyJust gave me a steroid shot. That didn't work. They treat you like If you are in pain. You are a pill seeker. I waited an hour to be called back. And i was the only person there. Then they wrote me a prescription for a medicine that hasn't been made in 7 yrs. This place is awful. I wouldnt take my dying dog there.
Excellent patient's care! A heartily thanks to OUTPATIENT nurses & staffs, OR/PACU nurses, Ms. Farr and Catherine from the laboratory, ICU/PCU nurses, for taking care of my husband last year!! ♡
Slow service at ER, sat there for over 5 hours and did not accomplish anything. Not a good hospital at all, the staff have no sense of urgency, they are either just sitting around or not to be found .
Thankfully, the nurses on the 3rd floor who cared for mom were absolutely wonderful. They were all so sweet and helpful and really cared for mom, and made us both feel more at ease about her well-being.
While the hospital nurses are absolutely wonderful once you're admitted, the ER nurses are absolutely terrible. They obviously don't care about the well-being of their patients at all. I recently had to take my mom their with sever food poisoning, and they refused to help clean her up after getting sick all over herself. After asking the nurses multiple times for help, they never showed up. Finally, I asked the tech when she came back in if we could get some help, and she threw in a pack of wipes and walked out talking about how bad it smelled in the room where mom was sick. Another nurse stepped in and dropped a blanket on the foot of the bed and said out loud as she walked out about how she was right about how bad it smelled. What kind of nurses are they? They're not. They apparently forgot to take any training in empathy and sympathy and basic care. I helped get mom cleaned up and changed, and had to change all the bed covers myself. I just piled all the dirty bed covers in front of the door so the "nurses" couldn't miss them when they came in. If it hadn't been a bad enough emergency that required an ambulance, we would never have gone to Lanier Hospital. But, when it's your only choice, good luck.
